How To Measure Wrist For Watch

Watch is the most stylish and classy accessory that one can wear. It creates a style statement and when you wear a nice piece of time on your wrist, it hardly ever goes unnoticed. Though there are many people out there who don’t think much and buy a watch solely based on its looks and price but there are other things too that one must take into consideration. A watch should be purchased according to the user’s wrist size. Wondering how to measure wrist size for watches? This article will help you out!

Using Measuring Tape
The first thing that you need to do is to rotate your hand outward until your palm faces upward. Then open your hand and position the measuring tape there to take easy readings. Wrap it firmly on your wrist but remember not to wrap it too tight that the skin starts to bulge. It should snuggle nicely with hardly any space between your skin and the tape. This way you will know the exact size without any mistakes.

Without Measuring Tape
If you don’t have a measuring tape, no worries! There are other ways through which you can determine watch size for wrist. Use a piece of string and use the same method as mentioned in the previous point. Try to use a fabric string as it is flexible and soft to give the right reading. If you don’t have a string, take a paper strip and wrap it around and mark the edge for correct reading. Once you have marked it, take a ruler and place the string and or paper strip to determine the size.

Choosing Metal Bracelet
Watches with metal bracelet are a popular choice among many. Once you know your wrist size, you can go ahead and buy your favorite watch but if you are opting for the metal strip, there’s one thing you must know. Metal bracelet should be a little loose for the wrist because, with time, metal will take the temperature of your body, making you sweat too. This will not be really comfortable right? So choose a watch that is a little loose so that the air can flow through it.

Choosing Leather Band Or Rubber Strap
After learning about how to measure wrist for watch, if you have opted for leather strap, remember that it doesn’t play well with sweat. So as we mentioned in metal bracelet, same you need to keep in mind while buying leather strap watch – buy one that is a little loose. On the other hand, rubber strap works well round the year. If you are buying a rubber strap wrist watch, select one that fits your wrist perfectly well.

Now, that you know how to buy that perfect watch size that will make you look classy and not shabby, go ahead, measure your wrist and buy your favorite time piece.
